PARTICIPANTS
Cinemod Debuts - International Film Festival invites debutant filmmakers (first and second films) to participate. The main condition is that the film directors must also be the authors of the film scripts.
DURATION
Short films must be under 30 minutes and features must be 60 minutes and over.
SUBMISSIONS
When submitting to Cinemod Debuts you agree to screen the submitted film during the dates of the festival. Cinemod doesn’t pay any screening fees for the screening of the film during the festival, but invites the film director to visit Cinemod Debuts Festival.
ENTRY FEE
Each entry must be accompanied by the appropriate entry fee. Entry fees are not refundable. Fees cover registration, registration notification, consideration by the programming department, and notification of the results.
ENTRY REGULATIONS
There is no premiere policy. Only films completed in the last two years are eligible for selection. Cinemod Debuts reserves the right to determine the eligibility of any project submitted. We only accept online-screeners. When you send DVDs, BluRays or any other materials before being invited, Cinemod Debuts will not judge it and will not send them back.
FILM/VIDEO ENTRIES
All non-English language entries must have English subtitles. Works in progress will not be judged. Feature films must be available in DCP for festival presentation, short can be MP4 format.
COMPETITION
Cinemod Debuts is a competitive event and unless notified otherwise, all films officially selected are eligible for competition. All films are nominated and voted upon by an impartial jury of filmmakers, industry professionals, festival programmers and film aficionados.
PRESS MATERIALS
If selected, Cinemod Debuts will require an Electronic Press Kit (EPK) to include high-resolution production stills, key art, bio and filmography of the director, production notes and full cast and crew credits.
LIABILITY
Although every possible care will be taken with tapes, films, drives and files while in our possession, we cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage. Do not send original or master prints, tapes, files or drives. Please keep Cinemod team notified of any address/phone number changes.
SHIPPING
The cost of the shipping of all selected films to the festival must be paid by the entrant. Cinemod Debuts will resent the prints back to the filmmaker. Cinemod Debuts is not responsible for expedited or overnight shipping charges to other organizations. Also, Cinemod Debuts cannot guarantee shipment of prints to other festivals during the days of the festival. All international entries must be sent 'free domicile' to the Cinemod office with all transportation charges, duties, and taxes prepaid by the shipper.
REPRODUCTION AGREEMENT
Selection to Cinemod Debuts gives it the permission to use excerpts of accepted work, including film trailers, shown in all promotional activities related to the festival.
NOTIFICATION
Films selected for Cinemod Debuts will be notified no later than August 1, 2023.
