CVV redefines the traditional festival model by shifting the power of selection from a small group of gatekeepers to a community of vetted artists and passionate audiences. This unique “Artists & Fans Curation Program” empowers creators and viewers alike to directly influence which films rise to the top.

The competition unfolds across three genre-based First Rounds, where submitted films are showcased, rated, and championed by audiences. The highest-performing films—based on engagement and ratings—advance to an exciting Finale Round.

Rules & Terms

Eligibility
- Submissions are open to feature-length films (50 minutes or longer).
- Films from all countries are eligible.
- There is no premiere requirement. Films may have screened at previous festival(s).
- Seeking films completed over the last three years that have not been distributed.

Submission Requirements
- All submissions must be made via FilmFreeway.
- A secure online screener is required for consideration.
- Films not in English must include English subtitles.

Selection & Festival Format
- Cinejoy Viewers Voice is an audience-driven festival experience presented digitally via the renowned Creatics platform. Cinequest is an in-person Film Festival occurring in the Silicon Valley.
- All selected films are presented within their respective categories and made available to audiences during the festival window. Audience engagement and voting play a central role in determining advancement and awards.
- Official selections to Cinequest will be notified prior to the festival. Additional materials and delivery requirements will be communicated upon selection.

Materials & Delivery (Upon Selection)
Selected filmmakers will be required to provide materials including, but not limited to:

- Digital screening file for exhibition
- Electronic Press Kit (EPK)
- Film stills and promotional assets

Top award-winning films selected for in-person exhibition will be required to provide a DCP suitable for theatrical presentation at Cinequest Film Festival.

Rights & Permissions
- By submitting, the entrant confirms they hold all necessary rights and permissions for the film and all included materials.
- Cinequest Inc. and Creatics Enterprises are granted the right to use excerpts, stills, and materials from accepted films for promotional and marketing purposes.
- The submitter agrees to indemnify and hold Cinequest, Creatics, and associated entities harmless from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising from the submission or exhibition of the work.

General Terms
- Submission fees are non-refundable.
- The festival reserves the right to determine final programming, scheduling, and awards.
- By submitting, the entrant agrees to all rules and terms outlined above.
