1) ELIGIBILITY
We encourage submissions that are independently produced by Latin American filmmakers and artists living in their countries and abroad. All films should be in Spanish, Portuguese and/or Native Languages; all films must have English subtitles.
We screen short and feature-length films and videos of all genres, including but not limited to: narrative, fiction, documentary, animation, video art, experimental.
Film length:
Short Films up to 25 minutes
Feature-length films between 60 – 120 minutes
No Premiere status required.
Year of Production: Preferably after 2020, but we're happy to make exceptions.
Incomplete applications will not be considered.
2) SCREENING FORMATS
We receive works to be screened in the following digital formats:
– mp4
– mov
All films must be min. Full HD. (min. 1920X1080) with English subtitles. If your film is selected for a live screening, it is essential to provide a Digital Cinema Package (DCP). Please note that the costs associated with creating the DCP are the responsibility of the filmmaker.
3) SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS
Video submissions are accepted through FilmFreeway. We put a lot of effort and time into each viewing and film evaluation. Unfortunately we can’t offer any waivers. Our fee is as low as we can go in order for us to value the work of our dedicated programmers.

Films may be screened online and/or in cinemas during the year-round festival.
All submissions are to be paid through the FilmFreeway platform. The submission fee is non-refundable.
If your film is chosen to show at the Cine Latino in the UK Film Festival, we must receive a high quality subtitled downloadble digital version of your film no later than 3 weeks prior to the screening. All films are required to have English subtitles.
If your film is selected for a live screening, it is essential to provide a Digital Cinema Package (DCP).
All costs related to the film screening (incl. sending materials, downloadable film link, British customs) must be borne by the submitting party.
Festival organizers have the right to use extracts (trailer / stills / etc.) of the film for promotional purposes.
4) AGREEMENT NOTES
By entering this festival you are agreeing to indemnify and hold harmless Cine Latino in the UK, its officers, affiliates, employees, and partners from any and all claims and/or liability arising out of entering and/or transmitting your film to our festival.
By submitting your film, you certify that you are the sole owner and producer of the work and that you are authorized to submit this work and that all clearances and licenses necessary for public display of the work, including film music rights, have been granted.
