Christopher Martini is a writer/director/cinematographer based out of Brooklyn, New York. A child actor and NYU film graduate, Chris has worked for over twenty years in film production and as a union editor. Chris’ films have played at domestic and international film festivals, winning hundreds of awards.
Chris' award-winning short film, "The Stone Child," about a Lakota boy coming of age, was the winner of Chanel 13’s Reel Shorts contest, and aired on PBS/Channel 13 in NYC. Chris wrote, directed and starred in his first feature, "Trooper,” winning multiple awards and a glowing review in the Huffington Post. Hailed by veterans of all wars, “Trooper” was distributed theatrically through the Army & Air Force Exchange Service, Cinema on Demand, and is available on multiple streaming platforms.
“Pastalight”, won Best Narrative Short Film at MINT (Montana International Film Festival) and Maui Film Festival, among many other awards, and was distributed on Alaska Airlines Inflight Entertainment.
“What The Night Can Do,” a 1.5 million dollar feature, was distributed by ITN/Mill Creek Entertainment, and is available on numerous streaming platforms.
Chris directed three music videos. “MOH,” for Blackbird Anthem, honored Medal of Honor Recipient Don Jenkins, was nominated for Best Social Impact Music Video Of The Year at the Josie Awards in Nashville, TN. He also directed “Let’s Talk About Heroes”, for Ryan Weaver, honoring first responders, which aired on CMT, and “Dear Mom”, for Shannon Book and Operation Encore, honoring Gold Star Families.
Chris was also the producer for two projects for artist, Stan Douglas, and the David Zwirner Gallery in NYC. "Luanda-Kinshasa," a video installation, went on to receive great reviews in the New York Times and the Village Voice and was nominated for two International Association of Art Critics Awards, and has exhibited in major museums all over the world, including the Whitney. “Scenes from the Blackout,” a still photo exhibition, was an Official Selection at the 2019 Venice Biennale.
He ran a successful production company in midtown Manhattan, MartiniCaruso Productions, producing over 100 corporate videos for Fortune 500 companies, shooting all over the world, and carving out a name in the world of 360 VR.
Chris is the owner of Triple Martini Productions, Inc. He lives in Brooklyn, with his wife, Liz, their son, Aidan, and their rescue pit, Stella.
