I'm an actor. I swore when I started that I did not want to direct or produce. I did not, however, say I didn't want to write...so, I wrote a short screenplay. It was well-received. Then people asked me to write and direct, but I'm an actor, really.
Christine Longoria is a Texas-based actor who also enjoys writing. A former social worker, she retired and focused on a career in television and film. She especially enjoys working on student films whenever possible as a way to help emerging film-makers and encourage new voices, particularly those from South Texas.
Christine's first short screenplay, Baby Mine, received modest acclaim on the film festival circuit, even acquiring esteemed Second Rounder status at the 2024 Austin Film Festival. Friends drew her into writing, producing, and directing her first film via the 2025 CC 7-Day Film Project in Corpus Christi, Texas. Since then, she has been invited to join Raza Noize, a Latino sketch comedy show, as a performer and writer, including producing a short film.
In addition to her acting and filmmaking pursuits, Christine is a member of the Corpus Christi Film Advisory Board. Thinking of shooting a project? Try the beautiful, diverse, affordable, and talent-rich area around the Gulf Coast Capitol, Corpus Christi!
