Chris Feistl served with distinction for 26 years with the United States Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). During his tenure with DEA, Chris served for over 12 years in Colombia, South America; making him one of the longest serving DEA agents ever in Colombia.
In 1994, Chris was sent to Colombia and assigned to a special task force created to take down the notorious Cali drug cartel; the biggest and most powerful drug cartel in history. His award-winning screenplay, Bringing Down the Cartel, chronicles Chris's incredible true story and the many challenges he faced while investigating the cartel.
Bringing Down the Cartel won Best Screenplay-Gold Award at Cinemafest FALL FEST, Second Place in the Screenwriting Competition at the Williamsburg International Film & Music Competition (WILLiFEST) and was a Finalist for Best Screenplay at the 2020 Chandler International Film Festival and the 2020 Las Vegas International Film and Screenwriting Festival.
Chris has also worked on television projects with Netflix (Narcos), National Geographic (Narco Wars) and the Discovery Channel (Finding Escobar's Millions). Chris recently starred in Season 2 of Finding Escobar’s Millions, a six-episode television show that searches for infamous Medellin cartel drug lord Pablo Escobar’s buried treasure in remote areas of Colombia. He also served as a Consulting Producer for the show.
