Chris Conner has been a swimmer his entire life. But he had never experienced anything like the culture of summer rec swimming in Contra Costa County, where his wife grew up as a swimmer and now both of his children as well.

After starting a podcast called Flip Turns in2018, about adults whose lives were changed by swimming he was taken by the incredible vibe at the awards night for his kids' team. He realized that the same feeling would be shared all over the county that week as the season ended.

At that moment, he knew that someone had to make a movie about this unique swim community. Swim County USA is his first film.
