I have no idea what I'm doing as a filmmaker, and I'm having the time of my life.
I fell in love with movies after seeing “Raiders of the Lost Ark”, and my fate was sealed after signing up to be the film critic for my high school newspaper. Soon after that, I realized I wanted to tell stories of my own, so I picked up Syd Field’s “Screenplay”.
Years later and with one feature-length script under my belt, I turned my focus to short films. Drawing upon numerous short stories I had written, I found they could be easily adapted into films.
With no formal training other than some YouTube videos, and aided by a pair of friends, I made my first film in just over a month -- and I loved it.
I know I have a lot more to learn about filmmaking, but I'm in for the long haul.
