ChoreoCollab Film Fest 2022

ChoreoCollab Film Fest 2022 will take place at both an in-person event & online screening. We are looking for films that foster the theme of community & collaboration, as this is a central element to who we are as an organization.

The in-person event will take place on Saturday, November 5 at 6:00 p.m. at The Grove 16 in Wesley Chapel, FL. Panel discussion, Q&A, & reception will follow screening.

The online screening will be released on 11.6 – 11.20 and will be screened exclusively at ChoreoCollab.com.

Submit your film to ChoreoCollab Film Fest 2022 (November 5, 2022), presented by Central Florida Choreographers Collaboration, (CFCC) opens its call for submissions for dance films beginning on September 1, 2022.

ChoreoCollab Film Fest 2022 will be our 3rd film festival, but the 1st open to global artists. Since 2019, CFCC has provided a platform for Central Florida Artists to create dance films producing works in collaboration with over a hundred artists. We are now ready to extend the opportunity to dance filmmakers from anywhere in the world, who want to share their work, present their message, & showcase the talent they’ve curated.

ChoreoCollab Film Fest strives to serve the interests and needs of filmmakers, choreographers, and dancers by:
• Providing a platform for artists to present their work to a bigger audience.
• Promoting artists & their work on web & social media further extending their reach.
• Connecting artists with artists & arts enthusiasts through panel discussions, Q&A’s, & podcasts in the weeks following the festival.
• Offering festival filmmakers free admission to screenings to appreciate the entire lineup of produced & selected films.
• Providing further opportunities to collaborate on future film projects, podcasts, & video features.

ChoreoCollab Film Festival welcomes submissions short film submissions from dance filmmakers across different genres.

Submissions Deadlines and Important Dates:
Early Bird Submissions Deadline: September 18, 2022
Regular Submission Deadline: October 18, 2022
In Person Premiere: November 5, 2022
Online Screening: November 6 – November 20, 2022

FILM SUBMISSIONS
Filmmaker must be authorized to submit this film to ChoreoCollab Film Fest for consideration and must have read, understood, and agreed to all entry requirements. Entrant must be the sole person responsible to make the decision to enter this media material and guarantee that such exhibition will not violate or infringe upon any rights whatsoever (including copyright, trademark, musical or contract right) of any person or entity. Entrant confirms and warrants required legal authority to submit the entry into the Festival and to use all music, images, and content in the entry.
• All rights and permissions for any materials contained within the said entry have been granted and filmmaker holds harmless ChoreoCollab Film Fest & Central Florida Choreographers Collaboration from any or all disputes or claims that may arise from these rights and permissions granted.
• Short dance films under 10 minutes are eligible to submit.
• Films have to be connected with movement, choreography, dance or clear kinetic expression.
• This is a family friendly event: content that is adult in nature is likely to be declined. This includes nudity, cussing, & sexual themes.
• ChoreoCollab Film Festival cannot waive submission fees.

Selected films must provide the following;
o High resolution still images (jpg, 300dpi)
o 3-5 minute description of the film.
o Headshot of Creator/Choreographer/Director with a short biography.
o An exhibition file for your film. We prefer 1920x1080 ProRes 422 or H264 files (.mov or .mp4)

ENTRY REGULATIONS
When submitting to the festival you are agreeing that, if selected and the invitation accepted, to screen the submitted film during the date of the festival. ChoreoCollab Film Fest will not pay any screening fees for presentation of the film during the festival.
ChoreoCollab Film Fest reserves the right to determine the eligibility of any project submitted. There is no limit to the number of entries. All films submitted must be finished projects. Works-in-progress will not be selected.

PRESS MATERIALS
If selected, ChoreoCollab Film Fest will require certain press materials to include high-resolution production stills, trailers, key art, director bio, and other production and crew notes.

REPRODUCTION AGREEMENT
Submission of an entry gives ChoreoCollab Film Fest and its presenters permission to have excerpts of accepted work, including film trailers, and publicity shots shown in all promotional activities related to the festival.

FUTURE SCREENINGS
If accepted to the ChoreoCollab Film Fest, this film may also be considered for future screenings. If selected for future screenings, the filmmaker will be contacted by the Festival and/or its presenters and will be provided this option for their film.

PHOTOGRAPHY SUBMISSIONS
The submitter must be the sole copyright owner & creator of the photograph.
Only one image per submission.
Must have the high resolution 300 dpi jpeg.
You confirm that each person depicted in the photograph has granted permission to be portrayed as shown—and has the right to grant that permission. Any costumes, props or other materials used must be rented or borrowed with the permission of the owner, and all other relevant permissions must have been obtained.
You understand that CFCC will share & credit the image on social media, website, & any print or digital media in conjunction to ChoreoCollab Film Fest.
