CVFF celebrates the art of the short film. We invite you to submit your films and videos of any type. Comedy. Drama. Documentaries. Animation. Music Videos. Just as long as the length of the film is 20 minutes or less.

We are located in the thriving arts community of Eau Claire, Wisconsin. All screenings will be held at the beautiful Micon Cinemas Downtown. Please read the Rules & Terms section for submission details.

Rules & Terms

All entries must have a runtime of 20 minutes or less.

We accept online screeners. Please upload your film through FilmFreeway streaming or password protected sites like Vimeo and YouTube. Downloadable links are not accepted.

Only someone closely connected to the project may submit to the festival.

You are welcome to enter more than one film. Please, no more than 3 films per filmmaker or 10 films per distributor.

All films must be in English or have English subtitles or English dubbing.

All entries are subject to review and acceptance by the festival programmers.

If your film is selected, you will be notified by approximately March 23rd, 2020.

For entries selected to the 2020 festival, a high quality file (MP4 or MOV) will be required for exhibition.

By submitting through FilmFreeway or via email: You grant the Chippewa Valley Film Festival permission to screen your entry as part of the 2020 festival and use stills or clips for promotional purposes. You acknowledge that you hold all rights and clearances for the film.
