Cheryl Jacobs Crim has been producing award winning television specials and documentaries more than 30 years. Her career started at WCPO-TV in Cincinnati where she produced, directed and edited 21 highly acclaimed specials and documentaries. She was awarded a certificate of appreciation from New Jersey Travel and Tourism when she worked for New Jersey Public Television called NJN at the time, as series producer for Discover New Jersey.
At New York Television (NYTV), she was Executive Producer responsible for all broadcast productions. She produced and directed ESPN's LPGA Magazine, the first national television series dedicated to women’s sports. She also created The Hard Stuff, a weekly series that takes an honest, often brutal look at the world of addiction and recovery.
A move to Liverpool, England gave her to opportunity to produce throughout Europe. Now living in Sandy Spring, Maryland, Cheryl was happy working with schools and nonprofits to help bring their vision to video, but the 2016 election moved her to create Resisterhood.
Resisterhood, a documentary about the power of women, hope, and resistance, has won 14 festival awards including five Best Documentary, two Best of Fest, two Audience Choice, and one for Best Director. She is currently working on Rebranding Peace, a film about revolutionizing the way Americans think about peace.
Cheryl’s earlier works have been honored with numerous awards including a gold medal at the International Film and Television Festival of New York, "Best of Show" at The Houston International Film Festival and two Silver Telly's. She has also received 12 Regional Emmy Awards for outstanding documentary and entertainment programs, including two awards for individual achievement in directing and editing.
