Charlotte has written and directed several films under her company, Seven Light Films, which have been recognised by BIFA, BAFTA and Academy Award qualifying festivals. Her latest film, Where There's Light, was longlisted for the 69th BFI London Film Festival. Before this, she premiered her short film Rose alongside Loach's film The Old Oak at the Cheltenham International Film Festival. Rose went on to qualify for the British Independent Film Awards. Her directorial debut was Different Day, which won Best British Short Film at the BIFA-qualifying Cornwall Film Festival, the Jury's Choice Award at The South London Film Festival, and was nominated for Best Film and Best Director at the BIFA-qualifying Unrestricted View. Her first film, O, My Friend (2019), which she wrote and produced, was nominated for best film at the Wales International Film Festival and screened at festivals around the world.

She has recently finished directing a segment for a feature film anthology and is now focusing on developing several projects including a feature film and television series.

Charlotte was accepted onto the Directors UK Inspire mentoring programme, 2024-25.
