A magna cum laude graduate of the USC School of Cinematic Arts, Lauzirika made his feature directorial debut with the offbeat psychological thriller CRAVE, starring Josh Lawson, Emma Lung, Edward Furlong and Ron Perlman.
CRAVE played at film festivals around the world, winning several awards, including the New Flesh Award for Best First Feature at the Fantasia International Film Festival in Montreal, and Best Director in the Next Wave category at Fantastic Fest in Austin.
Having directed commercials, short films and music videos, he continues in his "day job" of producing making-of content. He has produced over 100 behind-the-scenes documentaries for many films and TV shows, including BLADE RUNNER, TWIN PEAKS, the ALIEN Anthology, 500 DAYS OF SUMMER, THELMA & LOUISE, MILLER’S CROSSING, and many others.
Shortly before the pandemic, he directed and co-wrote the award-winning short film LOVE BITE, a dark satire about a toxic relationship gone very wrong during the Zombie Apocalypse, starring Carlee Baker and Cuyle Carvin.
Most recently, Lauzirika wrote and directed the horror drama HONK, starring Zach Galligan and Tyler Mane. This short film -- a cautionary horror tale about grief -- will begin its festival run in October 2023.
