When tenacity and ambition meet unrealistic expectations, anything is possible.
Los Angeles born and bred, director Charles Mesa has been industry-adjacent his entire life. Son of Emmy & Academy-Award Winning Visual Effects Director William Mesa, Charles had plenty of time to navigate his path through the world of filmmaking. Originally starting as a visual effects assistant, he worked at Flash Films Works and as a freelance rotoscope arist/3D generalist for six years before transitioning to production. Charles has worked behind the camera for nearly seven years now, as a producer, cinematographer, and now, director.
