Charles Dudoignon-Valade is a screenwriter and director of fiction and documentaries. He was trained at La Fémis, the French national film school. He is also a film journalist, trailer designer and composer of music for films. He currently teaches screenwriting and film analysis at the University of Cinema Georges Méliès in Cannes and at the Victorine Studios in Nice. He directed So Long, Paris! and Why Do You Film? (为什么您要拍摄电影??), and wrote the soundtrack for the Hong Kong film The Mistress (迷失森林). He is currently working on his feature film Somnium.
