I'm a writer from the Midwest. I moved to Los Angeles in 2014 to pursue writing in television. I started out writing dramas, but I randomly thought I try to lighten up my writing and try comedy. Now I love it. I always wrote short stories and journals, but it wasn't until I was crying in my academic counselor's office about the death of my great grandma where the idea of pursuing writing as a career came about. I was an education major and hated it. I told her how my great grandmother wouldn't be happy with me doing something I hated. The counselor said to me, "What makes you happy?" I thought about it and said, "Writing makes me happy." Erin, the counselor said, "So be a writer." The rest was history.
