Jesed is an experimental filmmaker whose practice centers on celluloid-based processes and artisanal film techniques. He hand-processes his films using DIY chemical methodologies, extending his work into conceptual photography and time-based art. His practice operates at the intersection of the moving image, material process, and photographic stillness.
His form of cinema, which he terms cinematic photography, is a visual language shaped by stillness, durational framing, and long takes—where photography and moving images converge within experimental and conceptual frameworks. His work draws from personal narratives while engaging broader inquiries into identity, spirituality, speculative ontologies, ecocide, mysticism, and ego dissolution.
Jesed’s practice also explores post-human and non-human perspectives, examining the agency of spirits, ecological systems, and other non-human entities, as well as the relationships between image, memory, and altered states of perception.
Jesed is a member of Collectif Jeune Cinéma (France). His works have been presented at the 27th Festival des Cinémas Différents et Expérimentaux de Paris (2025) and Zukunft_OL+50 at the Landesmuseum Kunst und Kultur Oldenburg (2025). His film Synthetic Forest is part of the permanent collection of the Bogotá Museum of Contemporary Art.
