Cecilia Kim is a video artist and filmmaker working in Washington D.C. Born in Seoul, South Korea, Kim has also lived in Australia, England, Singapore, and the United States. She received her MFA in Photography+Film at Virginia Commonwealth University. Kim was awarded Best in Show at The 19th Trawick Prize: Bethesda Contemporary Art Awards, and her work has been shown in solo and group shows including The Immigrant Artist Biennale (NYC, virtual), 0 GALLERY (Seoul, Korea), Hamiltonian Gallery (Washington, D.C.), The Anderson Gallery (Richmond, VA), Hume Gallery (Chicago, IL), and Sullivan Galleries (Chicago, IL); and at film festivals and screenings including the NoFlash Video Show, Around International Film Festival Amsterdam, and Student Experimental Film Festival Binghamton. She is currently a 2021-23 Hamiltonian Artists Fellow.
