Cariño Festival de Cine is a free annual showcase of 10 short films created by emerging filmmakers (ages 13-26). The festival is dedicated to providing a platform for young filmmakers to share their unique perspectives on themselves, their communities, and the world.

The festival was created in honor of Zedrick "Cariño" Alfredo Aurelio. Zedrick, who passed away at the age of 26, after a long battle with adenoid cystic carcinoma. Cariño devoted his life to bringing people together. We hope that the young filmmakers who participate in our festival bearing his name feel the same welcoming arms that he afforded us at their ages and feel as part of his legacy.
