Il caffè è un culto: racchiuderlo all'interno del mero assaggio è limitativo, il caffè è incontro, aggregazione e convivialità. Attraverso la ricostruzione storica ed il contributo di voci autorevoli porteremo la cultura del caffè al di fuori dei bar, che ne rappresentano il tempio prediletto, fino ad esportarla a coloro che del caffè, forse, conoscono soltanto l'aroma.
Dalla tradizione più radicata all'innovazione più audace, il documentario “Cafè – Storia di una ribalta napoletana” si prefigge l'obiettivo di raccontare a tutto tondo il caffè come espressione più pura della napoletanità.
Parallelamente alla pre-produzione del documentario, si sviluppa il desiderio di dare spazio al suo interno a giovani artisti amanti del caffè.
Nasce così questo contest, volto a puntare l’attenzione sui talenti del mondo fotografico, invitandoli a interpretare con criticità, sensibilità e fantasia un tema tanto comune quanto ostico: il caffè.

Coffee is a cult: to define it by the mere taste is limiting, coffee is meeting, aggregation, conviviality. Through the historic reconstruction and the contribution of influential voices, we’re going to bring the coffee culture outside the cafes, which represent its main temples, up to export it to those ones who maybe just know the smell of coffee.
From the most deep-rooted tradition to the boldest innovation, the documentary “Cafè – Storia di una ribalta napoletana” has the goal to tell every story about coffee, seen as the purest expression of “neapolitan-y”.
At the same time, during the documentary pre-production, we’ve developed the desire to give space in it to young coffee lover artists.
That’s how this contest is born, to focus the attention on photography talents, inviting them to interpret with sensibility and imagination a theme that is as common as difficult to be creative with: coffee.
A insindacabile giudizio della giuria, i 10 migliori lavori saranno esposti presso il Riff Lounge Bar (Napoli, Via Giuseppe Martucci n°87), durante la serata-evento del 13 ottobre 2019 in cui sarà proclamato il vincitore.
- I 10 lavori selezionati per l’esposizione saranno premiati con un attestato e un alloro di selezione ufficiale e parteciperanno all’estrazione di un premio insieme a tutti gli invitati all’evento
- La foto vincitrice riceverà un attestato, l’alloro dorato e sarà all’interno del documentario, col nome dell’autore citato nei titoli di coda.
L’evento del 13 ottobre è aperto a tutti, partecipanti e non, selezionati e non. Qualora gli autori delle opere selezionate non potessero partecipare, l’attestato sarà inviato loro in formato digitale.
Per autori selezionati non residenti in Campania sono previste convenzioni vantaggiose sull’alloggio di una notte con colazione a Napoli.

After the unchallengeable verdict of the jury, the 10 best works will be exposed at the Riff Lounge Bar (87, Via Giuseppe Martucci – Naples) during the night event on October 13th, 2019, when the winner will be revealed.
- The 10 works selected for the expo will be awarded with the official selection certificate and laurel and they will participate to the lottery drawing of a prize with every event guest
- The winning photo will receive the golden laurel and the winning certificate and will be featured into the documentary “Cafè – Storia di una ribalta napoletana”, with the name of the author mentioned in the final credits.
The October 13th event is open to everyone, participants or not, selected or not. If the authors of the selected photos could not participate, the certificate would be digitally sent to them.
For the selected authors not residents in the Campania Region, favorable conventions will be provided to spend one night and have breakfast in Naples.
