The CSC – ISFF (International Student Film Festival) is a new international festival promoted by the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia, dedicated to students from the world’s leading film and audiovisual schools.
Scheduled to take place in Rome from November 11 to 15, 2026, under the artistic direction of Marco Bellocchio, the project was created to celebrate the future of cinema through the vision and work of students from the world’s leading film and audiovisual schools.
The CSC Festival serves as a key observatory for emerging trends in cinematic language, where young generations of directors, screenwriters, actors, and other professionals meet, exchange ideas, and collectively shape the cinema of tomorrow.

The finalist films will be evaluated by an International Jury composed of film
professionals, critics, and academics.
Awards include Best Film, Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Editing, Best
Cinematography, Audience Award, and a Special Award for Innovation.

REQUIREMENTS
Deadline: 12 pm, June 30, 2026
Max length of a short film: 20 minutes

Eligibility: The festival is reserved for works by students who are currently attending a film or audiovisual school/university, or by students who graduated no more than 12 months ago. Submissions are accepted both from schools and from individual student filmmakers.
All genres accepted. English subtitles are required.

The Festival is open to film and audiovisual schools worldwide, as well as to students
currently enrolled in such institutions or who graduated within 12 months of the
submission deadline. Each school or student may submit up to three films, produced either individually or as a part of a student team.

The directors of the selected works (no more than two for each collective work) will be hosted in Rome during the Festival (November 11–15, 2026), with accommodation and meals covered by the Festival, while travel costs remain the responsibility of the participants.
