From the team that previously brought you the Boston Latino International Film Festival (BLIFF) comes Cinefest Latino Boston, a new and better premiere film festival, founded and led by Boston filmmaker Sabrina Avilés. Cinefest Latino Boston is committed to using the power of film to break stereotypes, bring cultures and communities together and reveal the complex issues affecting the Latinx community in the United States, as well as communities in Latin America and Spain.

Our preference is online submissions.

The CINEFEST LATINO BOSTON Selection Committee will choose the films to be screened at this year's festival. The committee will look for innovative works that are by or about the U.S. Latino community, Latin America and Spain. They must have been produced between 2020 and 2023.

All entries will be pre-screened for eligibility by the Selection Committee; however, not all entries will be programmed. If your work is selected, you will be notified no later than August 7, 2023 to send the film in its original format.

Films must be postmarked by the submission deadline date.

All fees are nonrefundable.

To enter your film, please submit each of the following:

1. Completed Submission Form
2. One copy of your film in one of the accepted formats
3. Brief synopsis (40 words) in English or Spanish. Any synopsis in Spanish should also have an English translation.
4. Biography information (director, producer, actors, or writer)
5. Press kit and/or still photos (300 dpi if submitted electronically)
6. Entry Fee

Due to the large number of submissions, the Festival cannot return any submission materials that are submitted with your entry form.

Participants are responsible for paying their own shipping costs.

NOTE: ALL PIECES IN SPANISH OR PORTUGUESE MUST HAVE ENGLISH SUBTITLES.

Thank you Boston Latino Int. Film Festival for a great screening. Our film Bakosó: Afrobeats of Cuba brought out a great crowd and I really enjoyed the Q&A. I look forward to coming back with my next film.

I love BLIFF! I have attended in the past as an audience member, and was so pleased with the screening this year of my film, "25 Texans in the Land of Lincoln." It was the first year BLIFF collaborated with the the Boston Public Library and their incredible screening space, and I am so glad they did! I love the curation, the outreach, the facilitated Q&As, the communication, and all the great people BLIFF brings together. And yes, the festival's director Sabrina Aviles is truly amazing, and she brings together an incredible team of volunteers!
