The CCRI Student Film Festival takes place May 8–9, 2026 at the CCRI Warwick campus. Join us for a celebration of student filmmaking, free for students and open to the public!

The schedule: Our opening night gala is held on the evening of Friday, May 8. Then, spend all day Saturday, May 9, taking in a full program of short films, panels, workshops and awards ceremony.

*What to expect at the festival:

The festival program showcases fiction, nonfiction, and animated short films created by CCRI students in and outside of the classroom. In a series of panels and workshops, industry professionals share their experience and techniques in a range of topics like film careers & academics, screenwriting, podcasting, cinematography, and sound mixing. In between program blocks, attendees can stop by one of our vendor tables.

Entries are open to films made by CCRI students since January 2025. Entries open 12/1/2025.

Open to films created by CCRI students in the following submission categories: fiction narrative, nonfiction/documentary, experimental, and animation.

To be eligible for selection, films must meet the following criteria:

> Writer, director, or producer was an enrolled CCRI student at the time of production/completion
> Completion date January 2025 to present
> Running time 20mins or less
> Submission contains no stock footage or other non-original footage (regardless of rights)
> Submission contains no generative-AI media content
> Submitter owns rights or has permission to use music featured in the submission
> If any prop weapon is used in production, submitter must include a Production Safety form; use of actual weapons in production is prohibited and will result in entry rejection.
