Submission Rules and Terms for C-47 Film Festival:

Eligibility:
a. C-47 Film Festival welcomes submissions from filmmakers worldwide.
b. Films must adhere to the specific guidelines set for each category: feature films, documentaries, short films, music videos, and TV pilots.
c. All submissions must be in the English language or include English subtitles.

Originality:
a. Submissions must be the original work of the filmmakers and should not infringe upon any copyrights or intellectual property rights.
b. Any use of copyrighted material (including music) must have appropriate permissions and clearances.

Completion Date:
a. Films submitted to C-47 Film Festival must have been completed after January 2022 to ensure the inclusion of fresh and recent works.

Submission Format:
a. Films to be submitted digitally.
b. C-47 Film Festival accepts digital film submissions in high-definition (HD) formats.
c. Preferred formats include (.mov) or MPEG-4 (.mp4).
d. Aspect ratio preserved; maximum video height of 720 pixels
e. H.264, mp4 format
f. Maximum video bitrate: 2200 Kbps
g. Audio: 128 Kbps, AAC, 2 channel stereo
h. Regrettably, we are unable to process links shared via email. Additionally, we only accept submissions through specific video hosting platforms such as Vimeo and YouTube, or by directly uploading files within the FilmFreeway platform. Resolution:
a. Films should have a minimum resolution of 1920x1080 (1080p) or higher.
b. Higher resolutions, such as 2K or 4K, are also preferred and accepted.

Entry Fees:
a. Entry fees will be charged for each submission, with rates varying based on the category and the specified deadlines.
b. Entry fees are non-refundable and must be paid during the submission process.
c. C-47 does not offer any waivers or refunds despite submission status.

Selection Process:
a. C-47 Film Festival employs a team of experienced industry professionals and film enthusiasts to review and evaluate the submissions.
b. The selection process is based on various criteria, including artistic merit, storytelling, technical execution, and overall impact.
c. All decisions made by the selection committee are final.
d. At C-47 Film Festival, we highly value the world premiere status of films. While we welcome submissions from filmmakers worldwide, we understand the significance of presenting fresh and exclusive content to our audience. Films that have not been previously screened or publicly premiered are highly more preferred. However, we also recognize the value of films that have previously premiered at other reputable festivals or events. These films bring their own unique experiences and can contribute to the diverse tapestry of our festival program.

Official Selection and Awards:
a. C-47 Film Festival will announce the official selections from the submitted films.
b. Selected filmmakers will be notified of their inclusion and may be requested to provide additional materials (e.g., stills, posters) for promotional purposes.
c. Awards will be presented in various categories, recognizing outstanding achievements in filmmaking, storytelling, and technical excellence.

Festival Screenings and Events:
a. Films selected for the festival will be screened during the designated festival dates and venues.
b. C-47 Film Festival may organize additional events, such as panel discussions, events and themed parties, Q&A sessions, and networking opportunities, to enhance the festival experience for attendees.

Rights and Permissions:
a. Filmmakers retain the rights to their submitted films.
b. By submitting their work, filmmakers grant C-47 Film Festival the right to screen their films during the festival and use excerpts for promotional purposes.

Publicity and Marketing:
a. C-47 Film Festival reserves the right to use submitted film materials, including trailers, stills, and posters, for promotional activities.
b. Filmmakers are encouraged to actively participate in promoting their films and the festival through their own channels.

Legal Obligations:
a. By submitting a film to C-47 Film Festival, filmmakers confirm that they have obtained all necessary rights and releases for their work.
b. Filmmakers hold C-47 Film Festival harmless from any legal claims or liabilities arising from the screening or use of their films.
c. C-47 Film Festival maintains a strict policy against the inclusion of explicit adult content, including pornography, in submitted films. We appreciate your understanding and compliance with this guideline.
