Step into a place where time layers upon itself, where the echoes of Ancient Rome meet the living rhythm of the Eternal City. In the magnificent historic halls of the Campidoglio, something special is about to happen.

The Buffalo Roots Film Festival comes to life in one of the most iconic settings in the world, transforming these ancient spaces into a meeting point of cinema, culture, and human stories. Here, film is not just screened, it becomes an experience that blends with the soul of the city.

It is a moment where art nourishes the territory, where culture connects people, and where entertainment takes on a deeper meaning.

If you are looking for something that goes beyond the ordinary, this is the place to be.

How to reach the Protomoteca Hall (Sala della Protomoteca) – Campidoglio, Rome, on foot
The Protomoteca Hall is located inside the Capitoline Museums complex, at the top of Capitoline Hill (Campidoglio), one of the most iconic places in Rome.
If you are arriving on foot, the most suggestive and direct access is from Piazza Venezia. From there, head toward the white monument of the Vittoriano and look to the side for the elegant staircase designed by Michelangelo, known as the Cordonata Capitolina. Walk up this gentle ramp, and you will arrive in Piazza del Campidoglio.
Once in the square, enter the Palazzo dei Conservatori (the building on the right when facing the Senatorial Palace). Inside, follow the signs to the Protomoteca Hall.
