Bruno Irizarry, a versatile artist, has excelled as an actor, scriptwriter, and director in the realms of theater, television, and cinema.
His foray into filmmaking was celebrated with the comedy "Shut Up and Do It!", a film starring himself and international star Pedro Capó. Presented at various festivals in the United States, this work earned the prestigious American Latino TV Award in 2008, marking Irizarry's debut as a film director.
As an actor, he has participated in notable works such as "Anna In The Tropics" (Portland Center Stage), "Love, Valour and Compassion!" (Seattle Repertory Theatre), "Quién Mató a Héctor Lavoe" (47 Street Theatre, NY / Centro de Bellas Artes, P.R.), "West Side Story" (Opera Illinois), "La Gringa," and "Bodas De Sangre" (Spanish Repertory Theatre, NY), among others.

On the big screen, he had the privilege of working with legendary figures such as Robert De Niro in "The Good Shepherd" and Johnny Depp in "The Rum Diary," "Speed Kills," "Driven," among other productions.
In his quest to explore new experiences, he founded Vanguardia Films, a production house focused on the realization and development of feature films with independent financing. Their first project, the successful romantic comedy "200 Cartas," featuring Lin-Manuel Miranda, Jaime Camil, and Dayanara Torres, conquered the box office, international festivals, and was featured on HBO.
Currently, Vanguardia Films is engaged in interesting cinematic projects. Among them are "Yerba Buena," starring Karla Monroig, and "23 Horas," scheduled for release in January 2024. Additionally, the dramas "Bella" and "Casa Pura," featuring Jen-Carlos Canela, are planned for release in 2026. At this moment, they are in the post-production stage with "La Puerta," a psychological thriller that promises to captivate audiences.
