The Second Annual Brooklyn Women's Film Festival (BWFF) is a female focused film festival. Run by women, about women, and for everyone.

BWFF accepts submissions from projects either directed or written by women, while giving special preference to films that contain: one or more self-identifying females as chief production members including cinematographers, editors, producers and/or that feature a strong female presence on screen.

BWFF gives special preference to work that transcends the Bechdel Test and tackles storytelling through a feminine lens.

Our inaugural festival saw 26 films shown over two days in Williamsburg, Brooklyn to sold out audiences with all ticket proceeds going to New York Women in Film and TV.

In 2018, we are doubling our efforts and teaming up with the Wythe Hotel to have twice as many screenings, films and networking opportunities in celebration of women in film.

I was delighted to show HOUSE OF TEETH in this lovely festival. Katy-May and her team are very organized, welcoming and enthusiastic. For a small festival it is incredibly well-run and well-attended. A beautiful way to honor the work of so many talented women. I look forward to watching it grow.

I was delighted and honoured to have my film Just Molly and Me included in this year's festival, and to be amongst so many great filmmakers. I was sorry not to be able to make it over to Brooklyn for the screening, but the Festival communication from Katy-May has been superb and the website great and easy to navigate, so I have felt that I have been a part of it never the less.
