Thank you for your interest in submitting to the Broad St. Film Festival, our annual three-day celebration of independent filmmaking hosted in Sugar Hill, GA. By submitting your work, you agree to the following rules, terms, and code of conduct. These guidelines are in place to ensure a fair, enjoyable, and professional experience for all filmmakers, attendees, and partners.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Film Format:

All submissions must include:

1. A downloadable version of your film.

2. A downloadable trailer.

3. An official poster (portrait orientation, 1080px x 1920px).

Submissions missing any of these items may be subject to rejection or withdrawal from the festival.

Promotional Use:

By submitting your film, you grant the Broad St. Film Festival and the City of Sugar Hill the right to:

- Screen your film during the festival.

- Use your trailer and poster for marketing purposes, including inclusion in promotional highlight reels.

- Share clips, stills, and film titles in festival advertising.

Content Restrictions:

Films containing nudity or simulated sex will not be accepted.

Vulgar language is permitted only within the limits of a PG-13 rating. (This includes allowance of one “F-bomb.” Excessive profanity will result in disqualification.)

CODE OF CONDUCT
RESPECT

Treat all individuals with dignity and respect. Embrace cultural differences, lifestyles, and diverse viewpoints.

Avoid profane/abusive language and disruptive behavior outside of what may be contextually present in films.

Respect other attendees by refraining from pressuring others regarding political, cultural, or religious beliefs.

Do not use recording equipment during screenings or workshops unless explicit permission is granted.

PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY + PROFESSIONALISM

Our festival is a space to connect and network. We encourage sharing projects, ideas, and business cards, but any solicitation or harassment will not be tolerated.

Conflicts of interest, inappropriate communications, or misuse of festival-related connections should be reported to staff immediately.

Maintain a professional demeanor when representing yourself and your work.

SAFETY

Firearms, weapons, and illegal substances are prohibited at all festival venues, including screenings, workshops, and after-parties.

Stay aware of your surroundings and report suspicious or inappropriate behavior to festival staff immediately.

DISMISSAL POLICY

All participants — filmmakers, staff, volunteers, sponsors, and attendees — must adhere to this code of conduct and festival policies. Violations may result in immediate dismissal from the festival and disqualification from future events. Grounds for dismissal include but are not limited to: harassment, misconduct, theft, inappropriate solicitation, abuse or mistreatment of guests, staff, or volunteers, or failure to follow festival rules.

AGREEMENT

By submitting to the Broad St. Film Festival, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the above rules and terms. You further agree that failure to comply may result in removal from the festival and exclusion from future events.
