Nick Anderson is an award-winning filmmaker whose work spans both documentary and narrative storytelling. A graduate of Chapman University’s film school, he founded Bright Coast Productions in Sacramento in 2006 and has built a career creating films that explore human resilience and social change.
Nick’s documentary credits include The Last Crop (camera operator, 2009), Give Us This Day (director, 2014), which profiled the Grant Pacer high school football team in Del Paso Heights, The Invisible Homeless (2019), and The Right to Exist (2025), a feature about Camp Resolution, a self-governed homeless encampment in Sacramento. His films have been used by advocacy groups and community organizations to spark dialogue and policy discussions.
Alongside his documentary work, Nick has written and directed several short narrative films, including The Merger, The Bust, and The Change. Collectively, these shorts have screened at more than 50 festivals worldwide, earning recognition for both storytelling and craft.
Through Bright Coast Productions, Nick continues to bring together collaborators and communities to tell impactful stories that resonate on both personal and societal levels.
