You know you're at a gem of a festival when the organizers of the event have such a passion and generosity for film and filmmakers. Without doubt this can be said of José, Eliane, Alice and Marcelo, who are beloved champions of independent film-making, and what would we do without them! They uncover filmmakers and help push them into the limelight, giving them a stage to share their ability, and in a global arena bristling with talent, they do this incredibly well - without fuss, without ego, and with heartfelt generosity - sharing the joy of film with everyone. Their enthusiasm is infectious, vibrant and warm, and I'm extremely grateful to the Brazil International Film Festival and extremely proud to have won an award - I will forever cherish it. Many thanks xxx

I think the easiest way to describe the Brazil Film Festival is to call it "A Festival with a heart"! The festival showcases films from all over the world and in so many different categories; yet the organizers have the ability to make every filmmaker feel part of the family. There is a special touch to this amazing festival in such a beautiful country that radiates through the entire process from the moment of submission. It's like every filmmaker gets an opportunity to go through an exciting journey alongside the organizers and to become a part of an amazing adventure in the art of cinema and film-making. I look forward to the day I can be a part of this process again. Gloria
