With a background in acting, Brandon made the transition to writing-directing with his 2023 narrative short film 'Bet Your Bottom Dollar'. Starring his brother Cameron Ashplant (The Last Bus), alongside Paterson Joseph (Wonka) and César Award nominee Marc Duret (La Haine), the film marked a successful directorial debut.
Building on his keen interest in character-driven stories, with particular focus on themes of isolation and escape, Brandon is excited to be sharing his second narrative short 'Whispers of Freedom', starring his brother Cameron, alongside Wendy Makkena (Sister Act), Darragh Cowley (Masters of the Air), Paul Freeman (Raiders of the Lost Ark), Christopher Eccelston (Thor: The Dark World) and Thomas W. Gabrielsson (The Promised Land).
