Film the book, get the look! Welcome to the 6th annual Booktrailer International Film Festival!

Booktrailer International Film Festival is a worldwide unique festival dedicated exclusively to cinematic works inspired by books. Booktrailers can be described as a new form of art that combines literature, cinema, advertising and internet technologies. The festival celebrates the art of transforming literature into visual storytelling, bringing together filmmakers, readers, authors, publishers and creatives from around the world.

Originally held for 5 years as a local festival, it has now become international, welcoming submissions from filmmakers around the world and celebrating the art of transforming literature into visual storytelling.

The festival focuses on book trailers — films or trailers that promote, interpret, or creatively adapt books of any genre, including fiction, non-fiction, poetry and children’s literature. Submissions may include feature, animation, historical, scientific and etc. works, as long as they are clearly connected to a literary source.

Booktrailer International Film Festival encourages innovation, accessibility, and creative freedom. Booktrailers may be produced using any filming technique or device, offering equal opportunity to both emerging and established creators. The festival serves as an international platform to showcase creative adaptations, connect literature with cinema, and explore new forms of audiovisual storytelling.

Selected works are evaluated by a professional jury, with awards recognizing creativity, storytelling and originality.
