Born in 1960 in Tokyo, Bon Ishikawa is a well-known photo-journalist. His main theme for his photography is religion and nature.
His works have been printed in various magazines in and outside of Japan, including Life, Paris Match, Geo, National Geographic, Time, Newsweek, etc… He won several prizes for his works including the “The Days After” on the Great East Japan Earthquake as the best photographer of the year by Photographic Society of Japan (PSJ) 2012.
HIs first feature documentary film "The Most Beautiful Village In The World" (2017) about Nepal Great Earthquake was run 40 theatres in Japan and invited to 18st Jeonju international Film festival.
This is the second time that he directed a documentary movie.
