We are now accepting submissions for this year's festival.

The Bolinas Film Festival is a four-day local event that brings innovative and exciting films in the feature, documentary, and short film categories to the Bay Area communities of Bolinas and West Marin.

Founded in 2022 and with an inaugural launch in 2023, Bolinas Film Festival is thrilled to showcase the work of new and established filmmakers.

The festival weaves in educational, culinary, and other local immersion experiences that delight the senses, celebrate storytelling through film, and exalt the vitality of community.

Festival organizers are dedicated to helping filmmakers and participants have the best festival going experience possible.

Special media opportunities will be arranged for final selected films, panel discussions and Q&A after movie screenings, Filmmaker networking, and more.

OVERALL ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Language: All films must be in English or with English subtitles.

RUNTIME
A runtime of any length is permitted

COMPLETION DATE
No requirement for completed by date.

PLACE OF ORIGIN
Projects may originate from anywhere in the world.

By submitting your film, you grant permission to Bolinas Film Festival, Inc. to include your film in the 2024 programing if said film is officially accepted. You also agree to allow excerpts of your film (i.e. trailers and highlights) to be placed on the Bolinas Film Festival website as well as other marketing or promotional purposes.

All films must be submitted through FilmFreeway by August 16th, 2024. The filmmaker can only submit original content and certify there are no disputes regarding ownership with the film. The festival does not pay screening fees or split revenue for screenings to a live theater audience.

Selected filmmakers will be provided two (2) all access passes to the Annual Bolinas Film Festival.
