The 6th GAMMA.CON Film Competition - Blue Shift returns for 2022!

Bring your best sci-fi/fantasy short to the big screen.

Finalists will be shown and winners announced on the evening of July 23 in the Bradman Theatre at the National Convention Centre.

All participants in the final gala screening will receive a pass for GAMMA@Night at the same venue on the evening (18+ guests only).

Participants in the final gala under 18 years of age will receive a adult GAMMA.CON Sunday July 24 pass.

Awards & Prizes

Shorts are to be no more than 10 minutes long.

First Prize - 1 day of Sound Studio rental at Film Plus thanks to AIE and Film Plus (https://filmplus.com.au/recording-studio/ value $499)

Second Prize - 2 days of Production/Rehearsal studio rental thanks to AIE and Film Plus ( https://filmplus.com.au/production_space/ value $330)

Third Prize - $200 cash thanks to Perform Australia

Prizes are non-transferable.

Competition is open for all age 16+

Students will be offered a discount entry fee.

Rules & Terms

Shorts are to be no more than 10 minutes long including credits

Entry must be at least 720dpi in resolution

Entries must be submitted online by midnight AEST July 10.

Late submitted entries will not be considered.

You must own the rights to your film and its content.

Any use of copyrighted or trademarked content you must be able to prove is fair use or provide written permission for its use upon request.

You are responsible for any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, publicity.

Blueshift is not liable for any copyright infringements or unauthorised usage. Any conflict should be settled by the parties involved.

By entering you grant GAMMA.CON a permanent licence to use your content to promote the Blue Shift festival finalists, your entry, and future Blue Shift Film Festivals.

Prizes from AIE are not transferable for cash.
