Blair Stewart is an award-winning documentary filmmaker with a passion for telling human stories with depth and authenticity.
Blair graduated from Edinburgh Napier University in 2012 with a first-class honours degree in BA Television. Soon after, he founded Blair Stewart Media, establishing himself as a filmmaker in his local community.
In 2014, he joined STV as a Video Journalist, playing a key role in launching STV Edinburgh and later expanding the channel into STV 2. He then transitioned into commercial production, helping to launch the Scottish Children’s Lottery. His storytelling skills earned him multiple director credits on STV’s national channel and a Royal Television Society (RTS) Award. In 2018, he moved to ITV, further honing his craft in broadcast storytelling.
Alongside his television career, Blair has built a strong portfolio of independent documentary films. His latest short, Stephen & David’s Toy Cupboard, has won multiple awards, including a Grand Jury Award, and screened at DOC NYC. His previous short, Moment of Impact, was selected for Big Sky Documentary Film Festival.
Whether behind the camera or in the edit suite, Blair is dedicated to crafting films that resonate long after the credits roll.
