Through the festival, we aim to create a positive impression of Bishkek among the international audience and demonstrate that our city is capable of successfully organizing and supporting world-class events. We envision the festival as a platform to showcase the cultural heritage of Kyrgyzstan, its film industry, and its creative potential.

Moreover, we seek to provide opportunities for both local and international filmmakers, actors, and directors to present their works and share their experiences, contributing to the development of the film industry in our region. By doing so, the Bishkek Film Festival will strengthen cultural connections and draw attention to the rich cultural heritage of Bishkek and the entirety of Kyrgyzstan.
Within the festival program, two competitions are held: International and Central Asian (Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan).

Grand Prize “Best Film” (producer receives) - 500,000 som
“Best Director" - 400,000 soms
Best Actress/Actor” - 300,000 som
“Special Jury Prize" (cameramen, screenwriters, composers, production designers receive)

Central Asian Competition:
Grand Prize “Best Film” (producer receives) - 500,000 som

Additionally:

- Prize for “Contribution to the World of Cinema

The film festival invites submissions from filmmakers around the world, celebrating diverse voices and storytelling approaches. However, to maintain the values and objectives of the festival, all submitted films must adhere to the following content guidelines.

Films containing pornographic content or promoting extremist ideologies will not be accepted. Submissions must also avoid scenes depicting violence against humans or animals.

Please note that the festival does not accept films that focus on LGBTQ+ topics. Additionally, projects promoting LGBTQ+ themes will not be considered for inclusion in the program.
