Kay Gunn is the writer and producer of the short film “Death By Chocolate”. She is the co-founder of Soiree Fair, Inc., a black female owned talent and literary management company established in 1995 in New Jersey. The company now includes Soiree Fair Literary Press and Kickline TV (Kicklinetv.com and on Roku), which she oversees as Kick Azz Operations Officer. In NYC, she has produced various projects including readings of "How To Repair a Mechanical Heart" at Theatre Row and served on the producing teams of Off-Broadway productions, "Camp Morning Wood" at The Peter J. Sharp Theatre in NYC and "Fat Kid Rules The World." Additionally, she executive produced the digital documentary series "Stage Left" and is a board member of Crystal Ship Filmmakers, supporting diverse content creators. She is also the Co-Founder of the nonprofit Camp Maranacook Arts which teaches youngsters below the line and backstage skills. Currently, Kay is developing a documentary about childhood cancer.
She is on the Board of Governors for the Summit Playhouse in Summit, New Jersey as producer and Gifts and Benefits Chair. She has recently been appointed to the DocBloc advisory board in NYC. Kay has just been conferred an MA Degree in the inaugural cohort of the Media Producing Program at New York University, Tisch School of The Arts 2026.
