AVANT & UNA is an international film festival based in Bihać, Bosnia and Herzegovina, dedicated to adventure, nature, environment and human stories. The festival is open to a wide range of categories, including feature and short fiction films, documentaries, student films, children’s programs and more — all presented in a competitive format.

🎥 Festival Vision:
To position Bihać as an internationally recognized destination — a socially responsible, humane and ecologically conscious city, distinguished by its exceptional natural beauty and its potential as an open and attractive film stage. The festival aims to establish a strong presence within both the international and regional film calendar.

AVANT & UNA connects the public, cultural and business sectors, generating positive energy for the realization of the festival and creating long-term cultural and economic value. At the same time, it actively promotes the cultural, historical, touristic and business potential of the city and the region.

🏛️ Festival Venues:
The Cultural Center of Bihać serves as the central hub of the festival, hosting the Festival HQ, Pavilion, Press Center, Box Office, Info Desk and cinema hall — including children’s, student and feature film screenings, as well as alternative indoor programming.

In addition to indoor screenings, the festival fully embraces the unique natural setting of Bihać through open-air projections at extraordinary locations — including the Lapidarium of the Captain’s Tower, as well as other surprising and immersive sites along the emerald Una River within the Una National Park, and historic locations such as the medieval fortresses of Sokolac and Ostrožac.
