Submissions are referred to as the Film. Exploding Tarantula Entertainment Presents Big Terror Film Festival may be referred to as the Festival.
All films must be submitted digitally through FilmFreeway exclusively. We do not accept hard copies. You may have multiple entries.
Films must be no longer than 75 minutes including final credits
Films entered into the Student category must have been a enrolled in school (elementary, middle, junior high, high school, college, or university) at the time of production.
Submitted work must be completed. No "work in progress."
Submissions in a language other than English must have subtitles.
All selections are final.
Outstanding Female Production must be a predominately female (as determined by individual gender identity) production, and must have a female in two or more prominent roles i.e. Director, Writer, Producer, Director of Photography
The Film may be entered into other festivals and competitions.
Entrants warrant that they have the legal right to enter film work to the Exploding Tarantula Entertainment Presents Big Terror Film Festival. As the Director/Producer of the Film, entrants have submitted to the Festival, entrants represent and warrant to the Festival that the Film and all parts thereof are original including all music; that the Film does not contravene the rights of any person or entity and that entrants own or control the Film and all parts thereof and have the sole authority to submit the Film to the Festival; the Film entrants submitted to the Festival is not subject to nor threatened by any litigation.
Entrant certifies:
*The film contains no genuine acts of Violence (Animal cruelty, Rape, Murder).
*I hold Exploding Tarantula Entertainment Presents Big Terror Film Festival harmless from any damage to the print(s) or media materials(s) en route or otherwise during the course of the festival’s possession of the film.
*I hold Exploding Tarantula Entertainment Presents Big Terror Film Festival its owners, management, juries, subsidiaries, agents, sponsors, affiliates, and etc. harmless from any and all claims of liability resulting from my entry.
*I certify that I have full rights to the use of the music in the entered work.
*I give permission for Exploding Tarantula Entertainment Presents Big Terror Film Festival to use stills, titles, copy, and/or information from the short for promotional purposes.
*I give permission for Exploding Tarantula Entertainment Presents Big Terror Film Festival to include the Film on the Exploding Tarantula Entertainment Presents Big Terror Film Festival YouTube channel.
*I understand that by submitting the Film to the Festival the Film in its entirety or in part may be used by Exploding Tarantula Entertainment for publicity.
Entrants acknowledge that no fiduciary or confidential relationship now exists between the Festival and entrants, and entrants further acknowledge that no such relationship is established by these guidelines, my submission of the Film, or by the Festival’s acceptance, review or retention of the Film.
