  • Thank you for screening 'Tippi & Barb' at your festival this year! Even though I couldn’t be there, the Berryville Film Festival clearly created something special — a welcoming space for independent voices, great films, and community connection. Excited to experience it in person in the future!

I would absolutely recommend any filmmaker to submit to Berryville! It's an amazing small town, and you do feel that hometown energy at this festival. All involved at the festival are so friendly and welcoming. The screenings are very well planned and thought out, and there are a lot of workshops that you can attend. One thing I really appreciated was how thoughtful the Q&As were after each screening. You really feel the love for film and this art form at this festival, and that's an amazing thing!

Berryville is a hidden gem of a festival. But the moment I received an email about it, the communication was top notch. They were up front and excited to share not only what was planned but how they were going to share my film information on social media. They spotlighted on various platforms which allowed me to pass the word to others which was super validating. Julia was great at making sure that all participants felt prepared and welcome.

A very quaint festival with a very intimate feel. There was no pressure to impress anyone, and the people I met were all talented and kind. Highlights include the filmmaking workshops and the very laid-back networking. It may not have a top-notch theater or sound system, but the real value lies in its social and educational offerings- it is an event for people new to film to learn as well as a space for filmmakers to meet and enjoy each other's company.
