Ben Carter is a recent graduate from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, where he earned his BFA in Filmmaking. He began making short films at the age of 7 using his dad’s Sony camcorder and would write, direct, star in, and edit his own films. Through his work, he aims to explore stories that seem as if they are plucked from hidden family secrets, often touching on controversial themes. Some of his favorite films include Autumn Sonata (1978), Dancer in the Dark (2000), and Welcome to the Dollhouse (1995).
