Hi, I’m B.A.D that stands for Bej’a Ayanna Day. You may refer to me as any of the three, I will respond the same. I’m a Slice of Life Writer like Issa Rae, Ryan Coogler, L.M. Montgomery, Fredrik Beckman and Alice Oseman.

I always say that every story, every life begins with a first page. And my first page began September 10, 1992. I write Slice of Life in all genres because I believe in normalizing the realities and imagination of marginalized people like myself.

My favorite genre is romance because it is all encompassing, it’s comical, and whimsical and thanks to reality tv we know it’s toxic and due to true crime sometimes it’s downright dark, and horrifying. It’s both requited and unrequited.

It’s powerful, dramatic and politically. Romance is all encompassing, it is a genre that can found in all genres so I’m never without scripts to write.

I’ve been storytelling since I was child, a gift I received from both my maternal grandparents, especially my grandfather.

I am a person who has lived a life filled with many stories, however there are some things I’ve intentionally missed out on because my heart fills the fullest when I can sit back and hear a story from another.

That’s why I always feel that even if I didn’t have other talents, as long as I have this mind and these hands that have been blessed with the gift to write I will always be fine.

I love being transported into a different world by these hands and dreams of mine. Writing makes even a fallacy feel like perfection.

There’s nothing more magical than to be able to create a world that pulls you in, and you get to feel as if you belong there or as if you have been there the whole time.

So I firmly believe that as long as I have the gift to write, and this mind to imagine and a dream that will come true, l'm infinite. That’s why I write, because every word I write, every story I create, every world I create, is timeless and it will always begin with a first page.

I’m currently looking for literary management and representation. I am willing to relocate and do what it takes to bring about these worlds of romance that I have created to the masses.
