Everyone knows that Beaufort, North Carolina is the "Coolest Small Town in America," right? Well, did you know that the Beaufort Film Festival is the Coolest Film Festival in America?

We're again looking to treat and inspire an otherwise under-served (festival-wise) and appreciative audience of movie-lovers all along the so-called Crystal Coast -- it's beautiful here at the beach, and we've got our boats and our books and our beers all lined up, but what we're looking for now is <wait for it> "boffo box-office, bay-bee."

We seek submissions of all stripes: student film, experimental, short, feature-length, you name it. And then we'll select the "coolest" flicks to screen at one of our (honestly) cool movie venues -- we've got an intimate indoor venue (right next door to a micro-brewery), where we can celebrate both the art of film and the practice of popcorn.

Either way, the BEAUFORT FILM FESTIVAL 2024: THE BFF KINGDOM RISES is coming (back) to Beaufort, North Carolina, next Fall.

The BeauShow Cup! Like the Stanley Cup, only *better*.

The following rules govern all film submissions to the Beaufort Film Festival (“BFF” or the “Festival”)

Neither the Festival nor its jurists investigates or attests to the authenticity of an applicant’s statement of authorship or rights secured. By entering the competition, you represent that you have secured all necessary rights.

BFF expressly disclaims all liability or responsibility for any violations of the foregoing.

COMPETITION IS VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.

  • I'm very proud that my short film LATE SLEEPER was chosen to be shown at this festival! Wish I had planned out my November better so I could have arranged to attend!

  • Unfortunately, I was unable to attend the Beaufort Film Festival this year. I would've loved to have had the opportunity to visit the NC coast in November, but maybe next year. The communication was excellent, and I know fellow NC filmmakers who have won awards there in the past, so it's a great festival for local filmmakers.
