Barbara is an Italian photographer and director based in Amsterdam. Her creative practice explores the relationship between color, form, and space, as well as the stories behind artistic expression, through images.
Her previous work experience includes creating food commercials and chef portraits, which helped refine her sensitivity to detail, atmosphere, and visual rhythm. Some of her short-form video projects on food themes have received international recognition.
With her directorial debut in documentary film “Io Corro”, Barbara brings her photographic eye into motion, tracing the hidden threads that connect gestures, emotions, and identity. Her work aims to capture the essence of reality with intimacy.
Blending the language of still and moving images, Barbara’s visual approach is rooted in composition, and the search for poetic meaning in everyday life.
