Welcome to the Banger Film Fest !

The Banger Film Festival is a quarterly competitive festival with screenings for selected films at the magnificent Cinéma Le Studio, located in the heart of Le Havre. The Film Festival gives filmmakers from around the world, both independent and professional, the opportunity to share their stories, their originality, and their perspectives on the world.

From among the selected films, only one is chosen by the audience as "the Banger of the Year." The Banger of the Year is then automatically selected to participate in the official competition at the IndeFilm Fest, which takes place annually in Le Havre.

The Banger Film Fest is a philosophy: accessible, popular, and impactful cinema. One evening, films, an audience, and one Banger that wins everyone over!

Le Banger Film Festival est un festival compétitif trimestriel avec une soirée de projection pour les films sélectionnés au magnifique Cinéma Le Studio situé en plein coeur du Havre. Le Banger Film Festival donne l’accès à tous les cinéastes venus du monde entier, indépendant comme professionnel de proposer leurs histoires, leur originalité et leurs points de vue sur le monde.

Parmi les films sélectionnés, un seul film est proclamé par le public « le Banger de l’année ». Le Banger de l’année est directement sélectionné pour participer en compétition officielle lors de l’IndeFilm Fest qui a lieu tous les ans au Havre.

Le Banger Film Fest, c’est une philosophie. Cinéma accessible, populaire, coup de poing. Une soirée, des films, un public, un Banger qui remporte l’adhésion !

Awards & Prizes

The best projects will be selected by our selection committee and in a second stage, the winners will be chosen by the Banger Film Festival public.

Rules & Terms

The festival has the following structure:

A. The selection of films: Our committee sees and debates about ALL submitted films before making the decision.

B. Official Selection films will be screened in Le Havre during Festival.

C. The public will award the winners among the Official Selection films during the Festival.

1. All languages are accepted. If your movie is not in English or French, you must have English or French subtitles in your movie.
2. Multiple entries from the same submitter are accepted.
3. The decision of the festival selection committee will be final and can’t be changed.
4. The festival authorities will have the right to retain copies of each film and the material send as part of our festival library & can be screened in for Education, promotion, awareness & commercial purposes.
5. The Banger Film Fest organizers reserve rights to change, cancel or re-schedule the dates, venue, awards & categories without consent or information to contestants.
