The aim of the project is cooperation with youth, and cultural and professional exchange to bring a slightly different angle or common for societies relevant in terms of the history, traditions, and norms of our country, namely in this edition in the Capital of Albania, Tirana.
This project will bring together young people from different countries who will come to Tirana and collaborate with the youth of the area. These young people need to highlight the above-mentioned elements through a film idea. The best ideas will be selected at the end of the application phase.

Young people will be able to cooperate with their neighbors. This collaboration not only provides them with the possibility of breaking the barriers of the Balkans but at the same time will have the opportunity to closely understand their perspectives on our country.
Also, it is an excellent opportunity to work with professionals in the field, learn from them, and discover new talents.

Rules & Terms

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS

General rules:
Balkan's Gate opens the call for applications to the 8th edition.
The call for applications is open to participants from different fields of art, skills, and experiences, directors, scriptwriters, camera operators, actors, etc.
This call is valid not only for professionals but also for amateurs, and lovers of the cinema.
Applicants selected will be invited.
The applicants selected have to pay a 350 Euro fee for participation.
Organize the teams and write, shoot, edit, and screen their movies. The movies will be screened on the last night of the project in Tirana.

Selected applicants are guaranteed:
• Accommodation and food.
• The ability to make a film in Tirana.
• Possibility to screen their films in the cinema.
• Meeting and cooperation with the Albanian and foreign artists
Applicants are invited to come up with a concept/idea for the project they want to shoot.

Copyrights:

1-Balkan's Gate has the rights to the film in the role of the producer.
2-Directors have all the rights in terms of the author of the film.
They can send the film to any festival or organize the screening of their films after the project for nonprofit purposes. In any case, they must obtain permission from the Balkan's Gate producer.

Balkan's Gate will send the films to different festivals in partnership to promote filmmakers and the project.

By signing the official selection the applicants automatically accept the Balkan's Gate rules.
