1. Eligibility
Movie genre
The festival accepts independently produced films, including but not limited to feature films, documentaries, animations, experimental films, short films, etc.
Entries must be original works, and films that have not been screened in other film festivals or commercial theaters are preferred.
Year of production
Entries must be completed by the submission date.
Language Requirements
All entries have English subtitles, or if the original language of the film is English, the subtitles must be removed.
The length of the film
Short Film Category: The length of the film should not exceed 30 minutes.
Feature Film Category: The length of the film must not be less than 60 minutes and not more than 120 minutes.
2. Submit Requirements
Movie format
All submitted videos must be in HD digital format. The recommended format is MP4 (H.264 encoding).
The resolution of the film should be at least 1920x1080 (Full HD). We do not accept submissions in DVD, Blu-ray or other ad formats.
How to submit
Films must be submitted online through the FilmFree platform, using the tools provided by the platform to upload the film files.
Each work is accompanied by a complete film profile, including: director's biography, film synopsis, posters, stills and other relevant materials.
Submit a fee
The submission fee varies depending on the time of submission, please refer to the instructions on the FilmFreeway platform for the specific fee.
Fee payments are non-refundable.
3. Film Rating and Scoring Criteria
Selection Criteria:
All entries will be judged by a panel of experts.
Judging criteria include: creativity, directing skills, cinematography, editing, budget, performance, and overall performance.
We pay special attention to the sexuality and innovation of films, and encourage independent artistic creation and diverse expression.
Selected Films
Films will be selected based on their compliance with the above criteria, and the shortlisted films will enter the selection stage.
The winning films will be screened at the opening ceremony of the festival.
4. Film Screening and Copyright
Film screenings
The winning films will be screened at the time and place designated by the festival. The festival has the right to screen the film, but it does not involve commercial screenings or other profit-making activities.
All films screened will retain their copyrights, and the festival ensures that the copyright of each film is respected.
Copyright Notice
Entrants must ensure that their submissions are fully copyrighted and legally licensed and do not infringe the copyrights, trademarks, or other rights of third parties.
Entrants shall bear all legal liabilities arising from intellectual property rights.
5. Miscellaneous
Video content
Entries must not contain any content that violates morality, the law, or violates the privacy of others. All materials should comply with local laws.
Film festival
The Festival reserves the right to modify, edit or produce trailers for all entries and to use them in promotional materials for the Festival.
The Festival also reserves the right to disqualify films that do not meet the requirements.
