1. Songs - Duration should not exceed 5 minutes
2. Short films- Duration should not exceed 3 minutes.
Below are the concepts a Short film/Song must be produced in
1. Various development and welfare programs implemented by the government, Since the inception of Praja Palana in Telangana state, such as Mahalakshmi, free bus travel for women, ₹500 LPG cylinder, GruhaJyothi, Indiramma houses, Sports University, Young India Residential Schools, etc.
2 Telangana History, Culture, Festivals, and Art forms
RULES
1. Team Head (Director or Producer) must be under 40 years.
2. Video Quality of the Short film/Song should be in 4K
3. The Short film/ Song should be based only on the concepts mentioned below.
4. The Short films/ Song that are produced must be original form and should not be streamed or uploaded elsewhere
5. The Short film/ Songs that are produced must be created specifically and exclusively for Bathukamma- Young Filmmaker's Challenge-2025.
6. Short films produced in other than Telugu/Telangana language must have english subtitles.
7.The short films and songs you submit must grant full ownership and rights to the FDC.
8. Submission Last date : 5th October 2025
Terms & Conditions
ELIGIBILITY:
1.Entries must be the original work of the Entrant; must not infringe third-party's rights.
2.Must be suitable for publication and may not contain indecent/obscene/pornographic material.
3.May not contain derogatory language and / or defamatory statements about any person, company , entity, or organization.
4.Must protect the rights reserved for the person,company, entity and must not invade privacy.
5.Must not in any way violate applicable laws,rules and regulations; and may not contain any copyright elements.
Entries containing prohibited or inappropriate content as determined by the Bathukamma- Young Filmmaker's Challenge-2025 and its sole discretion to be disqualified.
Bathukamma- Young Filmmaker's Challenge-2025 reserves the right to make the final determination as to which Entries are eligible.
Bathukamma- Young Filmmaker's Challenge-2025 reserves the right to refuse to screen a film or to make an announcement at the screening regarding the content of the film.
Bathukamma- Young Filmmaker's Challenge-2025 reserves the right to alter a film in order to remove or delete offensive or defamatory content.
Bathukamma- Young Filmmaker's Challenge-2025 Jury's Decision is FINAL
NO PRE SCREENING DISTRIBUTION:
The Entrant should not distribute their entry/video in any way prior to it receiving its official Bathukamma- Young Filmmaker's Challenge-2025 premiere screening.
This includes uploading the video to any website or screening the film for groups of anyone other than the team. The Entrant is encouraged to make a trailer of their film and distribute that instead. This trailer should be no longer than 1 MINUTE.
SUBMISSION NOTES:
We recommend that each team submit two copies of the final product. SOFT MEDIA COPY & A PHYSICAL COPY to be submitted at TSFDC Office.
MUSIC RIGHTS:
Participating groups are encouraged to work with a composer and/or musicians to write and record music for the films.
It is permissible for a participating group to use pre-recorded music; however the participating group must have the rights to any music used in its film and must provide releases for all music used.
As with music, pre-recorded sound effects are allowed, but you must have rights to use them.
Note: Song parodies (i.e., use of identifiable pre-existing compositions with new or altered lyrics or music) may not be included in the film without a signed release from the composition's rights holder. This rule applies without regard to whether the song parody arguably constitutes "fair use" under copyright law.
DECLARATION STATEMENT:
The Entrant must submit a Declaration Statement with his/her completed Entry, certifying adherence to all Official Rules.
*Your Film should not disgrace any Caste/Creed/Color/Culture/Person/Religion/political Party/Language/Place/Country
*Short Films can be made anywhere in the World
*Short films which are made in other than Telugu/Telangana language must have English Subtitles

*Winners will be announced on the event date. The Jury decision is final.
*All submissions must go through FilmFreeway. Completed and digitally signed submission on FilmFreeway.com. Once submitted on Filmfreeway.com means you read all the rules and complied with them.
PLEASE NOTE: Bathukamma- Young Filmmaker's Challenge-2025 does NOT charge any entry fee.
COMPETITION DECLARATION:

I/We warrant the submission of my/our original work and that there are no disputes regarding the ownership of the submission.
I/We also warrant the submitted material does not defame or invade the rights of any Caste/Creed/Color/Culture/Person/Religion/Language/Place/Country
To the best of my/our knowledge, all the statements herein are true and correct.
I/We understand that failure to adhere to the competition rules and regulations will result in disqualification.
I/We give permission to use the film and present it at Bathukamma- Young Filmmaker's Challenge-2025 and can upload it on the Govt Youtube channel.
