The 24th Bucheon Int'l Animation Festival (BIAF2022)

In 1999, the Bucheon Int'l Animation Festival (BIAF) embarked on its journey as the sole animation festival in Asia. BIAF have competitions of 6 categories - Feature, Short, Graduation, TV&Commissioned, Korean Short and VR.

BIAF is an Academy Award® Qualifying Festival.
BIAF Grand Prize will be eligible for consideration in the Animated Short Film category of the Academy Award®.

Grand Prize - 11,000,000 KRW

1) Animated films must have been completed after January 2021 and must not have been submitted to previous BIAF.

** Animated Film Only
** Preferable at least Korean Premiere
** Considered Priority for Premiere Condition.

2) The official languages of BIAF shall be Korean and English. Non-English language films must be subtitled in English by applicants themselves.

3) The selected applicants must send the presentation copy for screenings by September 17, 2022

    Very well organized festival, I highly recommend it. I applied to about 50 festivals and was so surprised at how poorly most of them are run. Most festivals as soon as they get what they want from you it's: poor communication, poor attendance, lack of interest. That was not the case with BIAF. All around a great festival and would/will certainly apply again to them.
